Member Recognition Awards NCPDP formally recognizes member leadership, commitment and contributions. We honor three members each year with the following coveted awards: The TIME (The Individual Member Excellence) Award Established in 1990, honors a member for unselfish devotion toward meeting the goals and objectives of NCPDP. The Time Award recognizes, honors, and thanks individual members who have unselfishly devoted considerable and sustained personal time, effort and other contributions toward meeting the goals and objectives of the Council as established by the Board of Trustees. The recipient is selected by ballot of the Board of Trustees. The Benjamin D. Ward Distinguished Member Award Developed in 1999, recognizes individual members of the Council who have accomplished outstanding achievements or have shown exemplary leadership and service on behalf of NCPDP. The recipient is selected by ballot of the NCPDP membership. The Rising Star Award Introduced at the 2004 Annual Conference, recognizes individual members who in their first three cumulative total years of membership have risen above the norm to become actively involved in the organization by participating in work groups, committees, and voting consensus group participation. The recipient is selected by ballot of the NCPDP membership. In addition, every year, we present Most Valuable Participant (MVP) Awards to members who contribute an extraordinary amount of time and effort to accomplish work group or committee project goals.
